THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

The Feast of tabernacles/ Feast of Booths and the Feast of ingathering is the
common titles pertaining to this feast. This feast commemorates when the
LORD brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and the nation had to dwell in
booths in the wilderness.


Deuteronomy 16:13- Thou shalt observe the Feast of Tabernacles seven
days, after thou hast gathered in thy corn and wine.
Leviticus 23:34 " Speak unto the children of Israel, The fifteenth day of this
seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days unto the
Lord". This feast is an eight day feast of rejoicing with the first and eighth day
being Sabbaths.


Leviticus 23:41 “ And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in
the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it
in theseventh month.”


Leviticus 23:42 “ Ye shall dwell in booth seven days; all that are Israelites
born shall dwell in booths:”


Leviticus 23:43- “That your generations may know that I made the children of
Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am
the LORD your God.”


The way Israel rehearses this feast day thru Christ is by going to a park/
camping area – putting up tents and rejoicing/ fellowship for eight days. This is
done to commemorate how the children of Israel dwelled in booths.


John 7:2 “ Now the Jews feast of tabernacles was at hand” This scripture lets
us know that Israelites were keeping the feast of tabernacles.


Deuteronomy 16:16 “ Three times in a shall all thy males appear before the
LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened

bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they
shall not appear before the LORD empty:
